Sidcup won the toss against Old Wilsonian's CC, chose to bat, and immediately added some drama by losing a wicket to a run-out on just the second ball — purely to keep things interesting. Openers Felicity and Ephraim recovered well, putting on 15 runs, highlighted by a big six from Felicity that made it very clear batting was the right decision.

The second pair, Midhun and Fin Foster, went about their work with calm assurance, steadily collecting 21 runs, with Midhun continuing his evolution into one of the side’s most consistent and reliable scorers while Foster provided solid support. Then came Clarkson and Aarav, who treated the situation less like a rebuild and more like a fireworks display. Aarav supplied the power, Clarkson the support, and together they added 30 runs to push Sidcup to a commanding 66 for 1.

With the ball, Ephraim and Felicity began with two very tidy overs that gave nothing away. The breakthrough finally arrived after 3.5 overs, reward for some disciplined bowling. Aarav followed with an excellent spell of his own, picking up a wicket and tightening the screws further. The final over delivered maximum drama: a caught-and-bowled off the first ball, a few extras to keep the scorers busy, and a run-out to seal the deal. Sidcup wrapped up a comfortable win over Old Wilsonian's CC — efficient, controlled, and only slightly chaotic at the most entertaining moments.
